This magnets is commonly used along side our F2516U in magic tricks. The F2516 is magnetised and the F2516U is not... but they look identical. Ask someone to slide either ring over a length of 15mm copper pipe so that it is free to slide down it. If you give them the magnetised one, it will slowly descend because of the eddy currents, damping and braking the motion, it can take 10 seconds to travel 300mm down a 15mm pipe. If you give them the un-magnetised one it will simply fall down the 15mm dia pipe in the blink of an eye.

These magnets will have approximately 3200 Gauss on each face. Each magnet can support a steel weight of up to 5.9kg vertically from the magnetic face when in flush contact with a mild steel surface of equal thickness to the magnet. Each magnet can also support up to 1.18kgs in a shear position before beginning to slide down a steel surface under the same conditions. These magnets can be fixed in place using Araldite/Loctite and have a maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees C.
