This magnet is very effective at wiping Hard Drive Data and is frequently used in Wind Generator/Turbine projects.

A pack of 1 - Ultra High Performance 50mm x 50mm x 25mm thick N52 Neodymium Magnet. The NORTH pole is on one 50 x 50mm square face and the SOUTH is on the opposite face. These Magnets are plated with 3 layers of protective coatings - Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni).

These magnets will have approximately 5500 Gauss on each face. Each magnet can support a steel weight of up to 118kg vertically from the magnetic face when in flush contact with a mild steel surface of equal thickness to the magnet. Each magnet can also support up to 23.6kgs in a shear position before beginning to slide down a steel surface under the same conditions. These magnets can be fixed in place using Araldite/Loctite and have a maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees C.

These magnets are dangerous! If your fingers are trapped between two of these magnets, they will be crushed! Please note that they should only be handled and used after a thorough risk assessment has been undertaken.
