Laboratory Magnets have our world famous N52 magnet bolted to a solid Chrome Plated brass handle allowing the operator to use the magnet safely whilst holding the non-magnetic handle. The magnets have a deep depth of field and can detect paramagnetic items and ferrous items up to 50mm inside apparently non magnetic items. You can use two of these magnets together to experience the extraordinary repulsion that two 'like pole' magnets can generate, without the risk of them flipping over and trapping fingers. They were originally designed for screening items that need to be placed near MRI scanners and are supplied in a tough plastic storage case.

Each magnet can support a steel weight of up to 26kg vertically from the magnetic face when in flush contact with a mild steel surface of equal thickness to the magnet. Each magnet can also support up to 5.2kgs in a shear position before beginning to slide down a steel surface under the same conditions. These magnets can be fixed in place using and have a maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees C. Extreme Power Warning! These magnets are dangerous!
