Alnico magnets are one of the most well-known types of magnet. These magnets are typically painted red and used widely in industrial and educational applications. We stock an extensive range of alnico horseshoe and bar magnets in a variety of sizes perfect for home, professional, industrial and commercial applications.
Neodymium magnets, also known as “Rare Earth Magnets” are high performance magnets and are the strongest type of magnet commercially available. We stock a huge range of neodymium magnets in a variety of shapes and sizes
Samarium Cobalt magnets are typically known as High Temperature magnets. These strong magnets can withstand operating temperatures that other magnets would simply degenerate under. This material is also very brittle by nature and can be prone to chipping and cracking.
Our ferrite magnets offer a deep depth of field as well as outstanding value for money. Ferrite magnets are typically not as powerful as neodymium magnets but are less brittle than samarium cobalt magnets. For high performance strong ferrite magnets our Channel magnets provide superb value for money in an innovative rectangular assembly.

Ferrofluid is an amazing liquid which reacts to the influence of a magnetic field. Once within the magnetic field of a magnet, the previously runny liquid suddenly starts to grow spikes which grow higher as the magnet gets nearer and these spikes then repel each other, causing the patterns to move and change shape.
Introduce two magnets and the fluid will create strings between them and the effects are unbelievable!
If you have never seen this liquid before, you will be absolutely amazed by it's fascinating reactions to magnetic fields. We supply a kit containing a 20ml bottle of ferrofluid, a Pipette and a 90mm two piece Petri dish.
