Newark Dragon Boat Race 2019!

Here at Magnet Expert we are a team spurred on by helping our local communities. So when we heard about Newark’s first ever Dragon Boat Race, we jumped at the chance to be involved. Magnet Expert Raise £222.50 For #Quids4Kids And The Children’s Bereavement Centre!

Friday 12th July marked a day of fundraising as part of Radio Newark and the #Quids4Kids campaign, in which companies across Newark and Nottingham participated with their most creative ideas to raise money for the Children’s Bereavement Centre.   The Children’s Bereavement Centre are a wonderful charity that work tirelessly to support local children and their families affected by death or terminal illness. First4magnets supports national homelessness charity Crisis

Over the Christmas period Crisis welcomed more than 4,000 homeless people in from the cold across the UK, and throughout 2016 a further 10,000 homeless people will learn, find jobs and build confidence; helping them leave homelessness behind for good. All because of the work done by the charity and it’s 10,000 volunteers. First4magnets to help 1,000 young people spread the word about foodbank services

Over 1million people used foodbanks in the UK last year, that’s one in 64 people who without the help of charitable foodbank donations, would have not been able to feed themselves or their families. Haven House Children’s Hospice provides a home-from-home for seriously ill children and their families and since opening their doors eleven years ago have provided a caring, and above all, a happy environment for 500 children and their families. Aurora Wellbeing is a charity that supports both men and women affected by cancer, offering free beauty and wellbeing treatments. The charity has five centres, all of which are within 40 miles of first4magnets, in Tuxford Nottinghamshire, the most local being the centre based at the Old Library in Worksop. The characterful home of Aurora Wellbeing is a listed building, which means that permanent fixtures on outside and inside walls are prohibited. At first4magnets.com we were delighted when Sam Turner, architectural assistant at mæ architects contacted us with a brand new challenge, and one which would make all the difference to a very worthy cause.
