While this worked well it became more of a hassle to hook un-used cables to it when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Tim\u2019s solution was to use two F329 magnets (42mm x 8mm x 100m Neodymium Magnets) blue-tacked to the top of the desk. The magnetism from these magnets would catch the metal ends to any cables he unplugged, preventing them from sliding down the back of his desk.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-246\" alt=\"50292-1[1]\" src=\"https:\/\/www.first4magnets.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/50292-11.jpg\" width=\"666\" height=\"352\"><\/p>\n<p>An alternative and more permanent solution to attach the magnets to the desk would be to use araldite glue.
