We are often asked by many of our customers how they can stop light seepage from curtains, and this question also echoes with our campervan and caravan customers. We recently heard from one of our customers, Chirpy, who definitely has a passion for life and for his campervans! He emailed us some great photos with a lovely message that made us all smile! \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chirpy was originally working on some campervan curtains for\none of his client\u2019s campervan, but due to lockdown he had to put the project on\nhold. So, Chirpy decided to make some for his own campervan. Light seepage is a\ncommon problem in camper vans because you live and sleep in them, so you want\nto be able to let the light in whilst being able to block it out as you please.\nFortunately, most campervans are made from ferrous material, making magnets the\nperfect tool for holding curtains into place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see the curtains are various shapes, sizes and materials, meaning the weight of the curtains may vary. Chirpy purchased 1 pack of our 25 x 8 x 2mm thick N35 Neodymium Magnet<\/a> and 2 packs of our 10 x 10 x 3mm thick N42 Neodymium Magnets.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He advised he simply sewed and glued the magnets into the binding of the curtains. After creating curtains for his client, he said it was easier to make his own as he has an idea of how many magnets were needed and where they needed to be placed. View the final results here: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see by the pictures the magnets securely hold the curtains in place, whilst creating a sealant-like effect around the window to stop the light from seeping through. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
