Renowned for their function, rather than their style, magnets are more likely to be found on a cat flap rather than the catwalk.<\/p>\n

It is their function however that allows greater creative expression than a standard needle and thread; something that is at the heart of Elnaz\u2019s work, a hybrid designer\/artist and student studying a BA in Textiles in Practice at the Manchester School of Art.<\/p>\n

Elnaz has used many magnets from first4magnets in her pieces, most recently exhibited in Paris at the L\u2019aiguille en Fete embroidery show where her work received excellent reviews.<\/p>\n

In the pictured pieces, Elnaz has used a variety of strong neodymium magnets and flexible magnetic sheet to create her stunning designs which have also been used as props for film-making.<\/p>\n

Elnaz said in her blog: \u201cMy work challenges the process of embroidery through the scientific process of magnetism. My artistic practice results in work for many different outcomes such as film, animation, embroidery for fashion, textile sculpture and exhibition curation.\u201d<\/p>\n
