The 116mm dia by 20mm thick N42 Neodymium Pot Magnet with an M12 Eyebolt is incredibly strong for its size, due to its NdFeB properties. The magnet's maximum pull performance (400kg) can be achieved when the magnet is applied in a vertical position against a mild steel surface of equal thickness.
An added advantage of the pot magnet is that it is recessed in the steel shell, which reduces potential impacts and therefore chipping.
For versatility, the base of the magnet accommodates an M12 threaded Eyebolt that can be applied and removed as required. The eyebolt's shape allows for ropes and cables to be attached to the magnet with ease, making it a strong and efficient performer in lifting, holding and retrieval applications. Ideal for magnet fishing too if you already have a rope.
The magnet is accompanied by a 10 metre long polyester rope in red which can hold a weight of 420kg. The rope and magnet combination is used in recovery and retrieval, particularly magnet fishing. We recommend the rope is tied to the magnet with a Tautline Hitch knot so that when the magnet attracts to a ferrous material, the rope doesn't come loose when retracted.
These magnets come with a safe-handling warning; because they are so powerful they can be dangerous if not handled carefully.
