Young robot engineers attract support from first4magnets in European robotics competition

First4magnets are proud to have supported three teams of budding robotics engineers and programmers from University of Southampton in their quest for supremacy at the Eurobot UK final, hosted by Middlesex University on Thursday, 21 April, 2016. This year’s theme was ‘Beach Bots’ and the fierce competition saw each team and their autonomous robot go head-to-head with 30 other teams in a series of beach-themed agility and technical skill-based tasks including magnetically retrieving ferrous fish, hoisting flags and building sandcastles. Magnetic sculpture ‘Hollow’ attracts creative public at Aberystwyth Arts Centre

First4magnets are proud to have supplied the magnets used in Jenny Hall’s current exhibition, ‘Hollow’ that puts the audience centre stage as they move, stack, explore and discover within the exhibition itself, which explores mining and the links between destruction and construction.
