If like many computer users you keep a degree of computer and laptop cables floating around your desktop, you know just how easy it is for them to disappear down the back into the unknown.\u00a0 Tim from Cambridge contacted us to tell us about his ingenious solution to this age-old problem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim had previously used a traditional bulldog clip at the back of his desk to hook\/hold wires he wasn\u2019t using when he removed his laptop. While this worked well it became more of a hassle to hook unused cables to it when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim\u2019s solution was to use two F329 magnets (42mm x 8mm x 100m Neodymium Magnets)<\/a> blue-tacked to the top of the desk. The magnetism from these magnets would catch the metal ends of any cables he unplugged, preventing them from sliding down the back of his desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An alternative and more permanent solution to attach the magnets to the desk would be to use Araldite glue. This however would permanently mark the desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
