The circular disc magnets in this section are specially manufactured to have a high resistance to corrosion, making them ideal for applications where they will come into direct contact with water or other liquids. It also means they can be used outside and will not corrode. ceramic and samarium cobalt magnets both have high resistance to corrosion, however, neodymium magnets require a solid protective coating such as stainless steel to prevent them from corroding.
