This heavy-duty 12V DC energise-to-hold electromagnet provides up to 430kg of controllable magnetic holding force, making it ideal for demanding industrial, automation and material handling applications.
When connected to a 12V DC power supply, the electromagnet generates a powerful magnetic field to securely attract and hold suitable steel and ferrous components. When the power is switched off, the magnetic hold is released, providing simple electrical control over when components are held or released.
Measuring 101.6mm in diameter and 76.2mm thick, this substantial electromagnet is designed for applications where high holding force is required. A 3/8-16 UNC threaded mounting hole on the reverse allows it to be securely incorporated into machinery, handling equipment, fixtures and custom engineering assemblies.
Operating from 12V DC with a 33W power requirement, the electromagnet is supplied with approximately 605mm of connecting wire for connection to a suitable DC power source.
Please note: A suitable 12V DC power supply is required and is not included. The stated 430kg safe working limit is achieved in a vertical direct pull when the electromagnet is in full contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface equal in thickness to the electromagnet. Actual holding performance can be reduced by factors including material type and thickness, surface condition, air gaps and the direction of the applied load.
