Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

This ultra-compact 12V DC energise-to-hold electromagnet provides up to 1.8kg of controllable magnetic holding force, making it ideal for applications where space is limited but reliable electrically controlled holding is required.
When connected to a 12V DC power supply, the electromagnet generates a magnetic field to attract and hold suitable steel and ferrous components. When the power is switched off, the magnetic field disappears, allowing the held component to be released quickly and easily.
Measuring just 12.7mm in diameter and 38.1mm thick, its slim cylindrical design makes it particularly suitable for integration into compact machinery, robotic systems, automated equipment, prototypes and custom mechanisms where larger electromagnets may not be practical.
A 6-32 UNC threaded mounting hole on the reverse provides a convenient fixing point for secure installation. Manufactured from zinc-plated mild steel, the electromagnet offers a durable finish suitable for engineering and industrial applications.
Operating from 12V DC with a low 1.4W power requirement, the electromagnet is supplied with approximately 610mm of connecting wire for connection to a suitable DC power source.
Please note: A suitable 12V DC power supply is required and is not included. The stated 1.8kg safe working limit is achieved under optimum conditions with the electromagnet in direct contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface equal in thickness to the electromagnet. Actual holding performance can be affected by material type and thickness, surface condition, air gaps and the direction of the applied load.
