Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

This compact energise-to-hold electromagnet provides a simple and reliable way to electrically control the holding and release of ferrous components.
When connected to a 12V DC power supply, the electromagnet generates a magnetic field with a safe working limit of up to 4.5kg in direct vertical contact with a suitable ferrous surface. When power is removed, the magnetic field switches off, allowing the held component to be released.
Measuring just 19.05mm in diameter and 31.75mm thick, its compact cylindrical design makes it particularly useful where installation space is limited. A 10-32 UNC threaded mounting hole on the reverse provides a convenient way to incorporate the electromagnet into machinery, equipment, fixtures and custom assemblies.
Operating at 12V DC with a power consumption of just 2W, this electromagnet can be integrated into automated and electrically controlled systems where repeatable holding and release is required.
The electromagnet is supplied with approximately 620mm of connecting wire for integration with a suitable DC power source.
Please note: This is an energise-to-hold electromagnet. It requires continuous electrical power to generate its magnetic holding force and releases when power is removed. The power supply is not included.
The stated 4.5kg safe working limit applies when the electromagnet is in direct vertical contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface. Actual holding performance can be affected by factors including material type, thickness, surface condition, air gaps and the direction of the applied load.
