Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

This ultra-compact 24V DC energise-to-hold electromagnet provides a simple and reliable way to electrically control the holding and release of ferrous components where installation space is limited.
When connected to a 24V DC power supply, the electromagnet generates a magnetic field with a safe working limit of up to 2.5kg when in direct vertical contact with a suitable ferrous surface. Switch off the power and the magnetic field disappears, allowing the component to be released.
Measuring just 20mm in diameter and 15mm thick, its small footprint makes it particularly well suited to compact machinery, automated equipment, robotics, prototypes and custom mechanisms where a larger electromagnet may not be practical.
An M3 threaded mounting hole on the reverse allows the electromagnet to be securely incorporated into equipment, fixtures and custom assemblies. Its zinc-plated mild steel construction provides a durable finish for engineering and industrial applications.
Typical applications include automation and automated assembly, robotics, small machinery and mechanisms, component positioning, pick-and-place systems, sorting equipment, door and hatch mechanisms, prototyping, product development and custom electrically controlled holding systems.
Please note: A suitable 24V DC power supply is required and is not included. The stated 2.5kg holding force is achieved under optimum conditions with the electromagnet in direct contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface of sufficient thickness. Actual holding performance can be affected by the material type and thickness, surface condition, air gaps and direction of the applied load.
