35mm dia 24V Energise to Release Electromagnet - 10kg Pull

Code: EM3530M6ETR-1

These energise to release electromagnets are ideal for door locking mechanisms and access control or security, fire door holding, medical devices, feeder systems for automated packaging machinery, pick and place equipment and power generation.

Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

Select

  • 35mm diameter x 30mm thick
  • Magnetic field switched off and on using electric current
  • Each magnet has a maximum possible pull force rating up to 10kg
  • Iron cylinder with bright nickel finish
  • Supplied with an M6 threaded hole on the reverse for fixing and mounting
  • Operating voltage 24V DC/11W, power source not included

This compact 24V DC energise-to-release electromagnet provides up to 10kg of magnetic holding force without requiring continuous electrical power, making it ideal for automation, access control and custom engineering applications.

Unlike an energise-to-hold electromagnet, this unit incorporates a permanent magnet that provides its holding force when no power is applied. When 24V DC power is supplied, the electromagnetic field counteracts the permanent magnetic field, reducing the external magnetic hold and allowing the attached ferrous component to be released.

Because power is only required when the magnetic hold needs to be released, this electromagnet is particularly useful for applications where components need to remain securely held for extended periods and released on demand.

Measuring just 35mm in diameter and 30mm thick, its compact cylindrical design makes it suitable for integration into access control systems, automated machinery, handling equipment, fixtures and custom mechanisms where installation space may be limited.

An M6 threaded mounting hole on the reverse provides a convenient fixing point for secure installation. The robust iron body features a bright nickel finish for a durable, clean surface suitable for engineering and industrial environments.

Operating from 24V DC with an 11W power requirement, this electromagnet is designed for controlled-release applications where electrical power is applied when the magnetic hold needs to be disengaged.

Please note: A suitable 24V DC power supply is required and is not included. The stated 10kg pull force is achieved under optimum conditions when the electromagnet is in direct contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface equal in thickness to the electromagnet. Actual holding performance can be affected by material type and thickness, surface condition, air gaps and the direction of the applied load.
