50mm dia 24V Energise to Hold Electromagnet - 50kg Pull

Code: EM502027M5-1

Easy to use electromagnet for lifting and holding applications. These magnets require a power source; when electricity is passed through them they produce a strong magnetic field and when the power is removed, the magnetic field disappears instantly.

Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

  • 50mm diameter x 27mm thick
  • Magnetic field switched on and off using electric current
  • Each magnet has a safe working limit (SWL) of up to 50kg in a vertical direct position when electricity is applied
  • Zinc Plated Mild Steel
  • Supplied with an M5 threaded hole through the electromagnet for fixing and mounting.
  • Operating voltage 24VDC, power source not included

This powerful 24V DC energise-to-hold electromagnet provides a simple and effective solution for applications requiring a strong, electrically controlled magnetic hold.

When connected to a 24V DC power supply, the electromagnet generates a strong magnetic field, providing a safe working limit of up to 50kg when in direct vertical contact with a suitable ferrous surface. Switch off the power and the magnetic field disappears, allowing the held component to be released quickly and easily.

Measuring just 50mm in diameter and 27mm thick, this compact electromagnet combines substantial holding performance with a relatively small footprint, making it ideal for integration into machinery, automated equipment and custom engineering assemblies.

The M5 threaded mounting hole provides a convenient fixing point for installation, while the zinc-plated mild steel construction offers a durable finish for industrial and engineering environments. The electromagnet operates from 24V DC with a 10W power requirement and is supplied with approximately 200mm of connecting wire.

Its controllable holding action makes it particularly useful for automation, robotics, manufacturing processes, material handling, positioning, sorting and other applications where steel or ferrous components need to be repeatedly held and released.

Please note: A suitable 24V DC power supply is required and is not included. The stated holding force is achieved under optimum conditions with the electromagnet in direct contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface of sufficient thickness. Actual holding performance can be affected by material thickness and type, surface condition, air gaps and the direction of the applied load.
