Code: EM636338M6-1

Easy to use electromagnet for lifting and holding applications. These magnets require a power source; when electricity is passed through them they produce a strong magnetic field and when the power is removed, the magnetic field disappears instantly.

Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

  • 63.5mm x 63.5mm x 38.1mm x thick
  • Magnet field generated when an electric current is applied
  • Each magnet has a safe working limit (SWL) of up to 204kg in a vertical direct position when electricity is applied
  • Zinc Plated Mild Steel
  • Supplied with 1/4-20 UNC mounting hole on the reverse for fixing and mounting
  • Operating voltage 12V DC / 8W, power source not included

This compact, high-strength 12V DC energise-to-hold electromagnet provides up to 204kg of controllable magnetic holding force, making it ideal for demanding industrial, automation and engineering applications.

When connected to a 12V DC power supply, the electromagnet generates a powerful magnetic field to securely attract and hold suitable steel and ferrous components. When the power is switched off, the magnetic field disappears, allowing the held component to be released quickly and easily.

Measuring just 63.5mm x 63.5mm x 38.1mm, its compact square design delivers substantial holding performance from a relatively small footprint. This makes it particularly useful for integration into machinery, automated equipment, production fixtures and custom assemblies where both space and holding force are important.

A 1/4-20 UNC threaded mounting hole on the reverse provides a convenient fixing point for installation. The zinc-plated mild steel construction provides a durable finish suitable for engineering and industrial environments.

Operating from 12V DC with an 8W power requirement, the electromagnet is supplied with approximately 605mm of connecting wire for connection to a suitable DC power source.

Please note: A suitable 12V DC power supply is required and is not included. The stated 204kg safe working limit is achieved under optimum conditions in a vertical direct pull when the electromagnet is in full contact with a suitable steel or ferrous surface equal in thickness to the electromagnet. Actual holding performance can be affected by factors including material type and thickness, surface condition, air gaps and the direction of the applied load.
