- Each magnet's north and south pole are on opposite circular faces
- Each magnet has an excellent resistance to demagnetisation
- Each magnet is coated with three layers of nickel, copper and nickel to reduce corrosion and provide a smooth finish
The NORTH pole is on one rectangular face and the SOUTH is on the opposite face. The magnets are magnetised across their thickness, making the first 2 measurements given the face with a NORTH pole or SOUTH Pole. These Magnets are plated with 3 layers of protective coatings - Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni).
