How Our Secondary Glazing Kits Work
Measuring Guide
The combination of a magnetic strip and a steel strip together will securely hold the acrylic panels in place, with each MagFlex® magnetic strip having a pulling force of 40g/cm2. Our secondary glazing kits are manufactured at the highest standards. All acrylic panels, magnetic strips, and steel strips are pre-cut to the correct size and are ready to install.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Measurements taken using this method may result in the secondary glazing not sitting flush with the inner window frame. If you require the secondary glazing to be flush with the frame, or if you are unsure about measurements or installation, we strongly recommend contacting us before ordering. Our team will be happy to advise on the best solution for your specific window.
How To Measure & Install
Magnetic Secondary Glazing
MEASURE
Measure edge to edge, then deduct 10mm total from width and height (5mm per side) to allow for frame variance and easy removal. This allows for a 10mm clearance of each side, ensuring a proper fit and ease of access.
SECURE
Peel off the backing and apply the steel strips to your window frame in the correct position. Press each strip firmly into place, running your finger along the centre to ensure it is securely attached.
INSTALL
Secure the matching attachment piece to the window frame with the included screws, then fix the Perspex panel in place.
If your window size is larger than 1.5m2, then you will require our permanent fixing.
