Embarking on a Warhammer project is a journey filled with creativity, precision, and a passion for the intricate world of miniature wargaming. Whether you're a seasoned hobbyist or just starting, magnets can add a new dimension to your army! From secure transportation solutions to precision painting techniques or even the art of interchangeable elements, unlock the full potential of your Warhammer projects with a bit of magnetic mastery.

Let's dive into the world of magnets and transform your Warhammer projects into a dynamic and immersive experience.

TRANSPORTATION

PAINTING

WEAPONARY

When you invest time and effort into your Warhammer models, the last thing you want is for them to break or lose their carefully painted details during transport. Enter the world of magnets, where FerroFlex becomes your trusty ally. FerroFlex is a flexible, rubber-like material embedded with tiny ferrous particles, making it magnetic.

Ever struggled to reach the nooks and crannies of your Warhammer models during the painting process? We have a great solution; Magnetic Trays and Adhesive Steel Discs. Attach the small, round Adhesive Steel Discs to the bottom of your model bases. These discs are ferrous and will adhere to the Magnetic Tray that features a powerful Neodymium magnet base.

One of the most exciting aspects of Warhammer is the ability to customize and modify your models. Magnets open up a world of possibilities when it comes to interchangeable weaponry, arms, and armour. However glue can be difficult to keep neat, especially when needing to be added to small connecting areas. Here's a guide on how to achieve a neat and flexible look:

To ensure safe travels for your Warhammer models, cut a piece of FerroFlex to fit the interior base of your plastic box. Add a small disc Neodymium magnet to the bottom of your model base, you can use self-adhesive ones or for glue to secure. Place your models inside a plastic box with the ferrous sheet on the bottom. The magnetic attraction between the models and the box prevents them from falling over or colliding, keeping your miniatures intact and preserving your hard work.

The magnetic tray allows you to turn your models upside down, making it easier to access those hard-to-reach areas without smudging your paintwork. Furthermore, the tray can be attached to a ferrous surface, providing an angled drying platform to prevent any unwanted paint smudges during the drying process!

  1. Choose the Right Magnets: Select neodymium magnets of an appropriate size for the elements you want to make interchangeable.
  2. Precision Drilling: Use a drill and drill bit that match the size of your chosen magnets. Carefully drill into the model's components, ensuring the hole is deep enough to hold the magnet securely.
  3. Magnetic Modularity: Once the holes are drilled, insert the magnets. The precise fit ensures a snug hold without the need for glue. This allows you to easily swap out elements without damaging your models, giving you the flexibility to experiment with different loadouts and configurations.

Model Size Glossary

Warhammer Magnet Glossary

This should cover most of the common base sizes and model types, however, if you are using models from specialized or limited-release sets, you may need to check those specific models for any unique base sizes. The size magnet or steel disc you need is specific to your application and the strength you require.

As new models are added to the Warhammer Age of Sigmar range, we will add their suggested base sizes to the list. When changes are made to the list, any changes from the previous version will be highlighted in magenta.

If you are still unsure of the magnet size you think would be best for your specific model, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected] and we will be more than happy to assist you with your application.
